Privacy Notice

Neuomes is a product of NeuraGrid Technologies Ltd (RC 9245522), a private company limited by shares incorporated in Nigeria under the Companies and Allied Matters Act 2020. We are the data controller for the information described here.

When you create an account. Your first name, last name and email address. Your password is handled by Amazon Cognito and is never visible to us or stored in our own database.

If you sign in with Google. Google provides your email address, given name and family name. We do not receive your Google password, contacts, or anything beyond the profile fields needed to create your account.

Your profile record. We store an identifier issued by Cognito, your email, your name, your account role and status, whether your email is verified, how the account was created, and the times it was created and last updated.

Location, only if you allow it. If you use a "near me" feature your browser asks permission first. We use the coordinates to sort listings by distance during that visit. We do not keep a history of where you have been.

Your recent searches. Stored in your own browser, on your device, under your account identifier. They never reach our servers, and clearing them in the interface or clearing site data removes them.

Signing in sets three cookies that hold your session tokens. They are marked HttpOnly, so scripts on the page cannot read them, restricted to this site, and sent over HTTPS. They exist to keep you signed in and for nothing else.

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Signing out deletes these cookies.

• To create your account, sign you in, and keep you signed in.
• To decide what you are allowed to do, which we check against your stored profile rather than trusting the browser.
• To send account email such as verification codes and password resets.
• To show search results relevant to the area you asked about.
• To keep the service secure and diagnose faults.

Amazon Web Services hosts the platform and provides account management, the database and email delivery. Data is processed in the AWS US East (N. Virginia) region.

Google provides the maps and place search. When you search a location or move the map, that request goes to Google Maps Platform under Google's own privacy policy. If you choose Google sign-in, Google also processes that authentication.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.

Bookings, payments and camera-based property verification are not open. We are therefore not yet collecting payment details, government identity documents, or captured photographs and their location metadata. When those launch this notice will be updated before they are switched on, and the listing verification process will be described in full.

Your profile is kept while your account is open. Ask us to delete it and we remove the profile record and close the account, other than anything we must keep to meet a legal obligation. Session cookies expire on their own, and refresh tokens are valid for seven days.

You can ask for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Under the Nigeria Data Protection Act you may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission. If you are in the UK or the European Economic Area, the UK GDPR and EU GDPR give you equivalent rights and the ability to complain to your local supervisory authority.

Neuomes is not intended for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

If we change how we handle your information we will update this page and change the date at the top. Where a change is significant we will tell account holders by email rather than relying on you noticing.
